Wrights Dowson Group is the UK distributor for Morgan Technical Ceramics Z hanger bearing inserts. These inserts provide long-term, high-efficiency solutions for screw conveyors operating in abrasive and high-temperature environments.
Z Bearings are zirconia ceramic bearings manufactured using Morgan Technical Ceramics’ patented PSZ process and offer the following benefits:

- Substantial increase in journal and shaft life through reduced galling

- Option to replace only the bottom half of a bearing

Morgan Technical Ceramics’ advanced process technologies deliver exceptionally strong, tough, and consistent zirconia. The hardness, corrosion resistance, and abrasion resistance of Z Bearings make them ideal for applications where abrasion rapidly wears unlubricated bearings, journals, and shafts.
Morgan Technical’s PSZ material offers toughness comparable to cast iron, tensile strength and thermal expansion similar to mild steel, and approximately four times the compressive strength of mild steel. Its high thermal stability and durability allow Z Bearings to significantly improve productivity while dramatically reducing maintenance costs, making them an ideal replacement for conventional metal hanger bearings.
Z Bearings are available in metric diameter sizes of 40mm, 55mm, 60mm, 65mm, and 75mm. Custom sizes and designs can be manufactured on request to meet specific application requirements.
