Wrights Dowson Group manufacture under license the Metalfab range of MetaTech™ Volumetric Screw Feeders.

The Wrights Dowson MetaTech™ Screw Feeder features a compact, space-saving design, low maintenance direct drive, and new Delrin® bushing for highly accurate and dependable metering of powders, pellets, flakes, and agglomerates. Our expert design team can provide a range of bespoke screw feeders to match your specific needs.

Agitator screws are larger in diameter than the metering or feeding screw and are a wire configuration, they therefore carry a greater capacity. This 360° influence of material forces air up and out of the metering area, force-feeding material into the flights to ensure they are completely full with uniformly dense material.

Construction

  • All metal contact parts are available in a choice of mild steel, epoxy coated carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, or 316 stainless steel,
  • Carbon steel exterior is primed and powder coated to clients specified colour,
  • Stainless steel units are provided with 2B mill finish or can be bead blasted and welds ground smooth crack and crevice free for food and or pharmaceutical applications.

Drive Motor–Size varies depending upon material and feed requirements. Bespoke designed Volumetric Screw Feeders can be designed to customers special requirements, including increasing the area of agitation for improved product homogenisation. Triple Screw agitated feeders are available for Bulk and Dribble applications to gain better accuracy control.
